From the Cover ~
When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn’t satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn’t lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby’s position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn’t the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances.
Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing. He’s surprised to find Darcy working aboard one of the ships, investigating a troubling report. Something sinister is going on and the deeper they dig the more Gage fears they’ve only discovered the tip of the iceberg. Goodreads

My Thoughts ~
Dani’s books can’t get much better. Literally! Reading Submerged, I was a fun. Reading Shattered I was hooked!! And now reading Stranded I am eagerly awaiting the release of Silenced. Being that these are her first books and first series of Pettrey’s, it is clear that she most definitely has talent!!!
I fell in love with Gage and Darcy’s story in Shattered, and when I read that Stranded was going to be all about them, I couldn’t wait to get my hands onto the story! Although the romance was there, it wasn’t the aspect that intrigued me the most. No, it was the mystery and the plot twists! It was something I hadn’t expected!! With that in mind, Silence must be extraordinary because the mystery seems to be getting better and better with each book. The tension between the two characters made me want to jump into the book and yell at each of them, telling them how blind they are! Although they were separated from each other for about six months, their chemistry and attraction for each other is as strong as ever. Except their too stubborn attitude shades their clear thinking. Revealed secrets heighten their growing relationship, especially regarding Jake’s past. I love it how Pettrey weaves to romances into the one book whilst keeping one low-key until the next book arrives. Silenced is all about Jake and Kayden and something tells me that it is a book that can’t go unread.
