The Lord said “never will I leave you nor forsake you”. But that never means that hard and trying times won’t come, because they will! Unfortunately that is all part of life. However we should be comforted by the reassurance that God will give us the strength to overcome these times. Note: not in our strength, but in God’s! Don’t loose hope! Praise Him always! “Press On” with his strength – “one step in front of the other”.
Life is a race, except not the typical kind with the aim of having one winner. No, the race of life focuses on living for God, with Him, serving Him and living in Him. Do that, and you are a winner!
Psalm 23:1-4 – The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 45:1-3 – God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
Proverbs 3:5&6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight.
Isaiah 48:17 – This is what the Lord says – … “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go….”
Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Psalm 29:11 – The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.
1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Romans 8:31-39 – What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also
risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
