If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. God made him who has no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 & 21
When viewing these verses through the lenses of this song, life is beautiful for a couple of reasons.
it is because us born again Christians live a life with no sin. This doesn’t mean that we don’t or won’t sin, because we will. It just means that when it comes to Judgement Day, God has forgiven all our sins, when we have sincerely repented, for he views us through His Son, Jesus, who is perfect and without sin. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” Isaiah 1:18 When considering this, life is definitely worth living for, allowing us to believe it is beautiful because of the hope we have received in Christ Jesus. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 41:31 No matter what or how many trials or temptations will arise, Christ will always be our strength.
it is the reminder that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in his likeness. Therefore we are all beautiful, inside and out, no matter what.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.” Psalm 139:14
“Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are His.” Psalm 100:3
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him.” Genesis 1:27
For those of you who have seen October Baby will know that it focuses on rejection in terms of surviving a failed abortion, being adopted and never being told these events until reaching 19 years of age. Hannah considers her life to be a lie with no meaning because she believes she was never wanted. However that couldn’t be further from the truth. God made us for a reason, because he needed our gifts and talents to further his kingdom. Life is therefore beautiful. Each person is special and unique. Life is a gift that has been freely given to us when Christ died on the cross for our sins. Our trials and temptations that life throws at us are there to test us, just as Romans 5:3-4 says: Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering develops perseverance, perseverance character and character hope. God is using these moments to shape you into the person he created you to be. It’s hard and I’m talking from experience, but I encourage you to embrace them, letting God take control. Life is also going to be full of disappointments, but don’t be discouraged for the Lord is our strength and promises to see us through them. All we have to do is ask, and it will be given to us. So whatever challenges life may be throwing at us at the moment, remember that life is beautiful.
