Lethal Legacy- Irene Hannon

Lovers of suspense: for those of you who haven’t read Hannon’s novel Lethal Legacy, you have missed out on a very interesting and enjoyable read!!!
The police say her father’s death was a suicide. But Kelly Warren says it was murder- and she has new evidence to prove it. Detective Cole Taylor doesn’t put much stock in her claim, since nothing in his case review suggests foul play. But when Kelly ends up in the emergency room with a suspicious life-threatening medical condition, Cole decides to dig a little deeper. What he discovers is a startling secret that links Kelly to a long-ago crime. Is history repeating itself? And who wants Kelly silenced?
Just as the title suggests, this novel really is about a Lethal Legacy. Kelly’s legacy isn’t bad, apart from the fact that her father’s occupation has placed her in this predicament. However the Rossi legacy is (don’t worry I won’t spoil anything 🙂 ). Fueled by grudge and revenge Vincentio is one of the main leaders of the criminal world and is very much involved in the Warren case. Or so Hannon has us believe. The twists and unexpected revelations is what I have been waiting for in a suspense novel. I loved it!!! Although I had figured a part of it out early on in the chapters, Hannon wrote in such a way I just wanted to keep reading to know the actual outcome.
Although there wasn’t a lot of romance, I also really enjoyed reading Cole and Kelly grow in their relationship. Learning about Cole’s reason as to why he turned away from the faith was such a good reminder to how easy it actually is, all that is needed is a little doubt. However Kelly really illustrated God’s power of miracles. Having all the other Guardians of Justice characters in the novel was exciting to read and definitely gave way to some humorous scenes, especially where Alison and Mike are concerned 
My favourite book of Hannon’s would still have to be Against All Odds from the Heroes of Quantico series. However Lethal Legacy with its cleverly crafted plot that bonded so well doesn’t fall far behind.

  1. I remember reading this series. It was really good (I am a sucker for books that follow a family – siblings who work together, etc.) however I think I prefer Hannon’s newest series even more! Either way, she’s a talented suspense author. 🙂

I'd love to know what you are thinking ......
